A furnace usually fails when the homeowner wasn't planning to spend thousands of dollars. When a company can say "yes, there's a way to spread this out" clearly and early, more quotes close. When it says so vaguely or with promises it can't keep, it creates complaints and legal risk. This service is about the clear version.
What this service is
Financing offer marketing means presenting the customer-financing program you already have, through a licensed lender, in the places homeowners look:
- a dedicated financing page on your website
- a short, accurate financing line on replacement pages and in ads
- a one-page explainer your estimators can leave behind or send after a visit
- answers to the common questions on your FAQ
Our role is limited, and we say so plainly. We are not a lender or broker. We don't arrange loans, collect applications, quote rates or decide who is approved. We help you market the lender's program, using the wording and conditions the lender gives you.
Who it's for
Furnace companies that:
- already hold a financing arrangement with a licensed lender
- hear "we need to think about it" often after quoting a replacement
- have financing mentioned somewhere online, but buried, outdated or unclear
If you have no program yet, start by speaking with lenders yourself. We can explain how other heating companies present financing, but choosing a lender is your decision.
What's included
- Audit of current claims. We find every place your site, ads and listings mention financing, rebates or payments, and flag anything outdated, such as closed government loans.
- Financing page. Plain-language explanation of what the program is, who offers it, how to apply through the lender and where to find the full terms.
- Ad and page alignment. Any ad that mentions financing points to a page with the full context.
- Estimator leave-behind. A short document that repeats the lender's approved wording, not ours.
- Review cycle. We send drafts to you for lender review before anything goes live, and we recheck the pages each season.
What a clear financing page contains
A good financing page is short and specific. Ours usually follow this order:
- One sentence on what it is: customer financing for furnace replacements, offered by a named licensed lender, not by your company.
- Who applies and how: the homeowner applies with the lender, and the lender decides.
- What it can cover: the equipment and installation, if the lender's terms say so.
- Where the full terms live: a link to the lender's own page or document.
- What happens next: how financing fits into your estimate visit, step by step.
- A plain reminder that rebates and financing are different things, with any open rebate linked to its official program page.
Anything the lender hasn't approved stays off the page. That includes rates, payment examples and phrases like "easy approval".
Timeline
- Week 1: audit and lender wording collected from you.
- Weeks 2–3: page, ad lines and leave-behind drafted.
- Week 3 or 4: lender review, corrections and launch.
Lender approval of wording can take longer than writing it. Plan this work for late summer so it's live before replacement season.
How results are measured
We track how often the financing page is viewed before a call, how many replacement estimates mention financing, and the close rate on estimates where financing came up compared with those where it didn't. We don't track approvals; those belong to the lender.
Mistakes to avoid
- "Everyone approved." Only the lender decides, and the claim is misleading.
- A monthly payment in large type with conditions hidden. The Competition Act prohibits false or misleading representations, and the Competition Bureau's page on deceptive marketing is worth reading before any payment figure goes in an ad.
- Promoting closed programs. As of October 2026 the Canada Greener Homes Loan is closed to new applicants; confirm any program with its administrator before mentioning it.
- Mixing financing with rebates. A rebate lowers the price; financing spreads it. Keep them in separate sentences so nobody confuses the two.
We give marketing guidance only, not legal or lending advice. For the full approach, read how to advertise furnace financing honestly, see the replacement campaigns it supports, or ask a question through the contact page.
Frequently asked questions
Can you set up a financing program for us?
No. We are not a lender or broker and don't arrange, negotiate or approve financing. If you don't have a program yet, talk to licensed lenders directly; once you have one, we help you market it.
Will you advertise our interest rate or monthly payment?
We don't write rates, payment amounts or approval claims ourselves. If your lender provides approved wording that includes those details, we use it exactly as supplied, with its conditions, and only where the lender allows.
Is the federal Greener Homes Loan still worth mentioning?
No. As of October 2026, Natural Resources Canada lists the Canada Greener Homes Loan as closed to new applicants since 1 October 2025. Pages still promoting it should be updated.
Does mentioning financing attract the wrong customers?
Not when it is presented as one option among several. Most homeowners who ask about financing are simply budgeting, and a clear page saves your estimator time on the visit.
